  • 2 medium-sized onions, finely chopped
  • 4 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

  1. Drain the soaked chana dal and cook it in a pressure cooker with 1 cup of water until tender. Set aside to cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the minced meat, cooked chana dal, onions, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, black pepper powder, fresh coriander leaves, and mint leaves. Mix well.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor and blend until it forms a smooth paste. You can leave some texture if desired.
  4. Shape the mixture into small round patties or kebabs.
  5. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl.
  6. Heat oil in a deep frying pan or skillet over medium heat.
  7. Dip each kebab in the beaten eggs and carefully place it in the hot oil.
  8. Fry the kebabs on both sides until golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Remove the kebabs from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
  10. Serve hot with mint chutney, tamarind chutney, or your favorite dipping sauce.
