Falooda Recipe: A Refreshing Dessert Drink

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups chilled milk
  • 2 tablespoons basil seeds (Sabja)
  • 2 tablespoons rose water
  • 4 tablespoons falooda sev (vermicelli noodles)
  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pistachios
  • 2 tablespoons chopped almonds
  • 2 tablespoons rose syrup
  • 1 tablespoon dried rose petals (optional)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Soak the basil seeds in a bowl of cold water and let them sit for about 10 minutes until they become gelatinous.
    Drain and set aside. Cook the falooda sev according to the package instructions.
    Drain and rinse with cold water to cool them down.
  2. In serving glasses, start by adding a tablespoon of rose syrup at the bottom of each glass.
  3. Divide the soaked basil seeds equally among the glasses.
  4. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to each glass.
    Pour the chilled milk over the ice cream.
  5. Add a portion of the cooked falooda sev to each glass.
    Garnish with chopped pistachios and almonds.
  6. Top with a sprinkle of dried rose petals for added aroma and visual appeal (optional).
    Drizzle a little more rose syrup on top for extra sweetness.
  7. Add ice cubes to keep the falooda chilled.
  8. Give it a gentle stir before serving to mix all the ingredients together.
  9. Serve the falooda immediately and enjoy its delightful flavors and textures.
